> PrepRise is an AI-powered Digital SAT prep platform. Students practice an

PrepRise is a Progressive Web App at https://preprise.org. You can create a
free account and set up your study plan in any modern browser, including on
mobile; the full practice and dashboard experience is built for a laptop or
desktop screen.

## What PrepRise does

- Practice questions: an original bank of SAT-style questions across
  Reading & Writing and Math, organized by topic and difficulty, each
  with full answer explanations.
- AI cognitive error analysis: wrong answers get step-by-step
  process-of-elimination AI explanations; a full-length 98-question
  diagnostic (four timed modules, Bluebook-style interface) gets an AI
  review covering accuracy across the 8 official SAT content domains,
  careless-miss (fast-wrong) signals, pacing, percentile standing, and
  mindset/test-anxiety-aware guidance.
- AI score-report analysis: students upload their official College Board
  score-report PDF and get an 8-domain breakdown that seeds their study
  plan.
- Predictive score analysis: a trajectory curve fitted to the student's
  score history projects a test-day estimate against their goal score.
- Study & score tracking: students log study sessions and minutes and
  enter practice or official SAT scores to see improvement across test
  dates.
- Adaptive study planner: diagnostics, score reports, and daily practice
  feed one plan that weights weak domains (~70% of scheduled practice)
  and rebalances as the data changes.
- Gamification: a 14-level XP system, daily streaks, daily objectives,
  badges, and a leaderboard, all designed to reinforce consistent study
  habits.

No hourly fees or contracts. For comparison, private SAT tutoring
typically costs $70–$200/hour.

## Who it is for

High school students preparing for the digital SAT who want a structured,
motivating, affordable way to study consistently over the weeks or months
leading up to a test date — including students who have plateaued on
practice volume alone and students priced out of private tutoring.

## Technology

AI features run on Google Cloud Vertex AI (Gemini Flash), called from a
Firebase backend (Cloud Functions + Firestore). AI analysis is grounded in
the student's actual response data — per-question timing, domain-level
accuracy, and server-computed percentiles — and entitlements and daily AI
caps are enforced server-side.

## Background

PrepRise was independently designed and built by a high school student to
make consistent SAT preparation more engaging and affordable. It is also
the basis of an educational research project on how gamified study tools
affect study consistency; how data is used in that research is described
in the privacy policy.
